Walt Disney World Spa Tips

Relax in the Disney World Spas

For the ultimate in relaxation and pampering on your Disney World trip, visit one of the Walt Disney World spas.  There's two full service spas in Disney World, and they're both excellent.  One is situated in the Walt Disney World Grand Floridian resort and Spa,  the other is at Disney World's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa.  These wonderful spas are both ran by Niki Bryan Spa and both offer a huge range of treatments.

Disney World Spas - Saratoga Springs Resort

Disney World's Saratoga Springs Resort Spa, is reached through a doorway by the main pool.  This was the original Disney Institute Spa, and it is the largest and best spa in Walt Disney World, with several treatment rooms, and a state of the art gym.  Ok, I confess, I didn't use the gym, but I did pop in there before my spa treatment and it certainly looked impressive.

One of my favourite treatments at the Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa is the peppermint pedicure.  It's perfect for soothing tired feet, after a long day in the Disney World parks.  This is no ordinary pedicure.  You are seated in a huge remote control chair with a footbath attached.  You can adjust the controls, not only to be seated in virtually any position, but also, to massage your body as vigorously or gently as you like, whilst you're having your pedicure.

Whilst you're having your treatment, your therapist may offer you extras such as paraffin wax.  The paraffin wax is excellent and leaves your skin feeling soft, but these extras can add $$$$ to the cost of your treatment.

Disney World Spas - Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

Disney's Grand Floridian Spa is a luxurious spa situated in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.  Although smaller than the Saratoga Springs Spa, it offers an excellent range of treatments.

You can arrive early and take time to relax in the sauna and whirlpool tub, before your treatment begins.  The Grand  Floridian spa uses the brilliant Jurlique range, from Australia.  Nicole Kidman also uses Jurlique, which is a testimony of how good it is.  We love the facial treatments at the Grand Floridian Spa, particularly the Secret Garden Aromatherapy facial, which they customise for your skin type.

At the end of your treatment, they will present you with a huge list of recommended products.  Don't feel obliged to purchase these products, but if you do fancy splurging, we highly recommend the Jurlique moisturiser, which is great for sensitive skin
